Shane Donohue - Equine Swimming Pool
The NRDP can provide grant aid towards the construction of innovative local services/facilities in the Cavan/Monaghan area which meet specific needs, currently not being met by existing service provision. An innovative example is of Fairtown Racing Ltd, Fairtown, Cavan that received capital grant assistance from LEADER for the construction of a state of the art Equine swimming pool.
This is the first such facility to be located in the border counties. The introduction will contribute significantly to the already established horse training and stabling facilities on site. The pool will be used for both the rehabilitation and training of sports horses in the area and will play an important role in the further development of the horse industry in the Cavan-Monaghan region.
