Drumlane Community Partnership – Grant aid for Physical Infrastructure.
Drumlane Community Partnership received grant aid under the National Rural Development Programme and CLAR programme to help in the construction of a community centre in Milltown, Co Cavan. This hall which is an acculumation of a number of years of hard work by a dedicated committee was officially opened on Sunday the 18th September 2005.
Analysis and Development – Ballymahugh Community Development Association.
Ballymahugh Community Development Association received funding to aid the drawing up of plans to renovate an old school in the locality. The plans will facilitate converting the old building into a community facility which can accommodate community meetings and training.
CLAR Village Enhancement - Corduff Raferagh Development Association.
Corduff Raferagh Development Association received funding under the CLAR Village Enhancement Scheme to develop the Car Park around Corduff Community Centre. The work included drainage, surfacing the site and marking out car parking places to permit maximum use of space for parking.
Diploma in Community Development Practice
CMRD part funded a Diploma Course in Community Development Practice for 19 participants working in the field of Community Development. The Course delivered by the Rural College in Derrynoid in association with NUI Galway ran on a weekly based from October 2005 until May 2006. Pictured on the right are the successful students.

Introduction to Renewable Energy Course
CMRD have recently ran Introduction to Renewable Energy Courses which gave a basic overview of the energy situation at present and the alternative technologies which are available. The course included the theory and a study trip to see the technologies in action. These courses have proven very popular.
