Cavan Monaghan Rural Development once again organised the craft and food pavilion at this year’s Virginia Show.
Virginia show is one of the largest one day agricultural shows held annually in Ireland and this year because of the many attractions including the Bailey’s Champion Cow and splendid weather conditions attracted crowds in excess of fifteen thousand people.
The craft and food pavilion has progressed from an initial eight stands located in a marquee in 2005 to this years event when twenty producers were located in the impressive new school assembly hall. The event has become a major attraction and throughout the day large crowds visited the pavilion.
The feed back from the participants has been very positive with many of the producers reporting excellent sales.
The craft and food pavilion is an ideal rural development project and provides excellent sales and networking opportunities for small producers at a very reasonable cost.
