What is this course?
Who is it for?


Anyone who connects a PC to broadband may find a problem with viruses and things like that. This is a short familiarisation course for people at entry level of ability to help them install anti virus software on a home or community PC with broadband and keep it updated.

What to expect from this training

You will be able to set up your PC to give some protection against viruses and similar problems. You will understand the importance of keeping anti-virus software up to date.



What does the course cover?

You will see viruses, Trojans, Zombies and Spyware explained, and look at Zone Alarm, AVG spyaware and CLAM anti virus programs.

What do I need to install virus protection software?

You need a PC, with an internet connection by Broadband preferably, free space on the hard disk, an hour or so of time, and a machine that can run for several hours without other work being done. You may need Euro 25 – 75 to purchase software if you do not wish to download .it.
