New Tourism Start-ups or Farm Diversification

This initiative actively encourages all rural dwellers to consider the opportunities open to them in the field of rural tourism. There are many options open to you to consider as a rural tourism development option. Please click here for details of training in Rural Tourism & Tourism marketing

We are developing a Rural Tourism Training Curriculum in conjunction with the EU wide Rural Tourism International Training Network. This training, which will provide an introduction to tourism, help develop your ideas, assist in initial set-up and provide ongoing support. We have also started a blog in 2009 about the activities of Rural Tourism International. see the Blog here: www.ruraltourisminternational.wordpress.com

This training will help you to address some of the major questions in considering tourism as an enterprise such as; Am I the right person to start this type of enterprise? Can I deal with guests? Etc… This training is targeted at rural dwellers and farm families in the border counties. You are welcome to bring another family member along to participate in the training. For more information please see our upcoming training events.
